About Seattle Mawlid
Our Mission
Seattle Mawlid is dedicated to spreading love for the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through regular gatherings and remembrance. Our goal is purely to honor and celebrate the Prophet (PBUH) and to bring our community together in love and unity.
Our History
For over 20 years, we have been hosting Mawlid gatherings in the Seattle area. Our community has grown organically, driven by a shared love for the Prophet (PBUH) and a desire to come together in remembrance and celebration.
Our Practice
We follow the tarteeb and tareeqah of Habib Umar bin Hafiz (HA). This beautiful tradition guides our gatherings and ensures that we honor the Prophet (PBUH) in a manner that is both authentic and deeply meaningful.
Our Gatherings
Weekly Home Gatherings
Every week, we gather at the homes of community members who graciously open their doors to host a Mawlid. These intimate gatherings create a warm, family-like atmosphere where we can come together in remembrance and love.
Monthly Family Mawlid
Once a month, we host a larger family Mawlid at a public community venue. This gathering brings together families from across the Seattle area for a special celebration of the Prophet (PBUH).
Our Independence
Seattle Mawlid is not affiliated with any organization or sect in Islam. We are an independent community of believers united by our love for the Prophet (PBUH). Our gatherings are open to all who wish to join us in remembrance and celebration.
Our Commitment
We are committed to hosting a Mawlid at least once a week, ensuring that our community has regular opportunities to come together in love and remembrance. This commitment has been maintained for over two decades and continues to be the foundation of our community.
